He is a Chartered OHS Professional through the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, with over 17 years’ experience leading HSE performance across complex, high-risk, multi-site operations within civil construction, infrastructure, mining, transport and logistics sectors.
He has a proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise HSE strategies that strengthen governance, lift safety maturity and drive measurable improvements in operational performance. Derek is recognised for aligning HSE with core business objectives, ensuring risk management frameworks support productivity, delivery and workforce sustainability.
Derek leads through strong engagement with leaders and teams, building capability and embedding accountability at all levels.
