Scope
High rainfall and thin pavements are common place on Phillip Island and across Victoria.
Foamed Bitumen stabilisation was the treatment of choice to rehabilitate Berry’s Beach Rd, Cowes. A granular overlay to improve the cross section of the pavement and longitudinal ride was spread, followed by a Foamed Bitumen treatment and application of a 2 coat double double seal.
Cementitious stabilisation was used in the car park area to strengthen the pavement in areas of high turning stresses from tourist coaches and campervans.
